Lorraine Hotpot

Cook in a large quantity of water: potatoes, cabbages, carrots, little turnips, leeks, salt, pepper and parsley. After ½ hour, cook an onion in butter, oil or margarine until it becomes brown, then add vegetables extracted from their broth. Serve with cooked meat.
Cooking meat: in a large quantity of water, place one smoke sausage, a thick slice of bacon and a piece of smoked pig meat. Cook at least 30 minutes.
